Hands Symphony
To get the word out about Hands-Only™ CPR, we created an integrated campaign around the insight that hands can do incredible things, but nothing compares to using them to save a life. One of the incredible things hands can do is make music, so this led us to the idea of creating “The Hands Symphony.” Working collaboratively with a music house, we recorded each clap, slap and snap in a sound studio and posted behind the scenes footage of the making of the sounds on the campaign website: handsonlycpr.org. Once filmed and looped, the hands were placed in sections, like a symphony. Visitors to the site could then select the hands they wanted to make their own beat. And to help spread the message of Hands-Only™ CPR, the personalized track could then be sent to a friend. At the bottom of our application is a visual two-step instructional on how to perform Hands-Only™ CPR as well as a link to view an instructional video.
